So… How does Positive Posture work?

Take a Quick Tour

Positive Posture Pain Prevention works from your computer screen.

So everything you need – from initial training, to the Daily Exercise Library and specialist support – is just a click away!

It doesn’t intrude on what you’re doing. Most of the time, all you see is our logo on your desktop. Plus – fleetingly, a couple of times an hour – the small Popup Posture Reminder.

Everything else is in the Members’ Training Section, and you access it when you need it.

Your Pain Prevention starts with Onscreen Training:

Firstly...   First, there’s an explanation of Why We Get Pain in the office environment. You haven’t had an injury. You’re not ill. But you are in pain. Why?

This section explains why office-induced pain starts, and shows you how this is preventable pain that can also be stopped. You can be in control!

number-2  Then you move on to Finding Your Good Posture. This is a vital part of the strategy, making sure you really understand what YOUR good posture is for YOU. Everyone is different.

Three  To reinforce your good posture, there are six Pain Prevention Exercises you do every day. They only take a few seconds, and they’re just small movements, yet they are really effective. They don’t interfere with your work, but they will make such a difference!

Four  The next step in the Training focuses on Getting Your Environment Right – how to:

  • Set up your chair, desk and workstation to suit you
  • Use your equipment properly
  • Avoid stress when you’re working
  • Recognise and avoid environmental hazards

Five  And finally, the Display Screen Equipment Assessment (DSE Assessment) is your check that you’ve understood the training, recorded any changes you need to make, and that you’re safe in your working environment.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

And, of course, making sure you don’t forget what you’ve learnt in the training,
the Popup Posture Reminder briefly appears on your screen every now and then
to jog your memory.

Your back-up and constant support is the Resources Section:

Firstly...  Because you need to act fast with any pain you might get and nip it in the bud, Common Office Pains gives you the best first-treatment advice, plus the specific exercises you need.

This is like a trip to a physiotherapist without leaving your desk. You get the treatment you need immediately without waiting for an appointment.

number-2    Just in case you need a quick reminder, there’s the Daily Exercise Library.  All the Posture-Reinforcing Daily Exercises you learnt in the Training are here, at your fingertips.

Three   And the Specialist Support continues with help for:

  • Working intensely – Try our famous 2-Minute Tension Release
  • Hot-Desking – Quick access to information for different workstations
  • Working whilst pregnant

All the information you need, whenever you need it!
